Indictments returned by St. Martin and Iberia Parish Grand Juries

Several people were indicted by grand juries in St. Martinville and New Iberia, including charges related to three killings involving St. Martin Parish residents.

According to 16th Judicial District Attorney Michael Haik III, the Grand Jury met in St. Martin Parish and returned the following indictments:

• Malik Alexander, 19, of Breaux Bridge: - Second Degree Murder in connection with the death of Andre Arceneaux.

Bond is set in the amount of $1 million for the charge of Second Degree Murder.

• Michael Zachary, 19, of Zachary: - Second Degree Murder in connection with the death of Javeuin Williams.

- Possession or Dealing In Unregistered or Illegally Transferred Weapons.

Bond is set in the amount of $1 million for the charge of Second Degree Murder and $125,000 for the charge of Possession or Dealing In Unregistered or Illegally Transferred Weapons.

Indictments

The Grand Jury met in Iberia Parish and returned the following indictments: Bond is set in the amount of $1,000,000 for the charge of Second Degree Murder and $15,000 each for the charges of Felon in Possession of a Firearm

• Anikkera Johnson, 32, of St. Martinville: - Principal to Second Degree Murder in connection with the death of Denarius Joseph.

Bond is set in the amount of $1 million for the charge of Principal to Second Degree Murder.

• Reginald Peters, 26, of New Iberia, LA: - Second Degree Murder in connection with the death of Denarius Joseph.

- Felon in Possession of a Firearm (2 counts) Bond is set in the amount of $1 million for the charge of Second Degree Murder and $15,000 each for the charges of Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
