Dear visitors to Lake Martin,
Please do not speed down Lake Martin Road. Access to the beautiful, natural beauty of Lake Martin is only by a residential road since the big flood of 2016 washed out the Prairie Hwy entrance.
The speed limit is 35 MPH. Please respect the residents, cats, dogs, geese and children of Lake Martin Road. Too many vehicles see the two-mile long straightaway and “gun it.” That is dangerous and too many pets have lost their lives.
Please be a good citizen and just go the speed limit.
Relax, enjoy the ride; it will allow you to take in the scenery. Thank you.
