Breaux Bridge – School is in session again in St. Martin Parish with students in grades pre-K through grade 12 reporting for classes on Tuesday.
Drivers are asked to be cautious in school zones and to be aware of children on crosswalks and near school buses, and to stop when red lights are flashing on school buses picking up or dropping off students.
Reduced speed zones are in effect in marked school zones from 7-9 a.m. and 2-4 p.m. on school days.
The school year concludes with students’ final day on May 21, 2026. Report card day will be May 22, 2026 with parishwide graduation on May 15, 2026.
Nine-week report periods are from Aug. 12-Oct.

Scheduled holidays include Labor Day (Sept. 1), fall break (Oct. 20), Thanksgiving (Nov. 24-28), Christmas (Dec. 22-Jan.
2), MLK Day (Jan. 19), Mardi Gras (Feb. 16-18) and Easter (April 3-10).
The school system also has scheduled professional development days on Oct. 17 and March 20.
ACT testing in the parish is scheduled for March
10, 2026. Leap tests for grades 3-8 are April 1-May
15, 2026. EOC testing for high schools is April 1-May
15, 2026.
