Beta Rho chapter of Beta Sigma Phi celebrated the Beginning Day social on August 9. Chair of the annual event was Louella Champagne.
Members enjoyed a relaxing social at Misfits Restaurant in Broussard where they celebrated the yearly tradition of Beginning Day, the chapter’s launch into a new year. It is a time of special significance for Beta Sigma Phi and Beta Rho chapter.
Everyone agreed even though small in number the chapter is wise in experience and close knit with ties of everlasting friendship.
President Lynnie Bienvenu welcomed members and called on the committee chair to review activities to be held during the 68th year of Beta Rho chapter as they celebrate the theme Angel’s of Friendship.
Program chair Bobbie Theriot announced Dana and Ricky Hulin will present a program on Home Planning: House Architecture and Finance at the first meeting of the year on September 8 at the home of hostess and program leader Theriot.
Social events planned for the coming year were announced by chair Theriot, Elaine Case, Arleen Oubre and Shirley Fuselier.
Service- Adopted Family chair Shirley Fuselier announced the chapter will continue to support a local family monthly.
Arleen Oubre was the recipient of the floating basket gift presented by Bobbie Theriot.
