St. Martinville - The Hall of Flame Smokers have announced the recipients of their scholarship award for the 2025 school year. These scholarships, totaling $10,000, are awarded to ten outstanding students who have demonstrated academic success, leadership and community involvement.
St. Martin Parish recipients are:
• Jaden Broussard, Breaux Bridge High School. Jaden is a student at McNeese State University studying kinesiology/ pre-physical therapy.
• Kiasley Hills, St. Martinville High School. Kiasley is a student at Louisiana State University studying information systems and analytics.
• Gavin Soloman, Ceclia High School. Gavin is a student at Grambling State University studying computer science.
Other recipients are Jayden Carmouche, Acadiana High School; Cameron Delahoussaye, New Iberia Senior High School; Amirie JeanBatiste, Lafayette Christian Academy; Madison Parker, New Iberia Senior High School; Alonna Rasmussen, Southside High School; Kayden Stevens, Loreauville High School; and Aniya Trahan, Southside High School.
The scholarship ceremony was held at Adam Carlson Memorial Park following church services at Notre Dame Catholic Church in St. Martinville, on August 3. The event featured the presentation of awards by club President Tyrone Jones and Vice-President Bryan Jones.
Hall of Flame Smokers is a local organization whose members have deep ties to the Acadiana region of Louisiana. The organization is committed to community service through volunteerism and scholarship funding. All graduating seniors in St. Martin, Lafayette and Iberia Parishes are eligible to receive scholarships.
