(Submitted)

A group of 50 enthusiastic youth from St. Martin Parish, accompanied by 4-H Agents and dedicated volunteers, recently attended 4-H Summer Camp at Camp Grant Walker in Pollock, Louisiana. This four-day adventure offered campers in grades 4 through 6 the chance to explore the outdoors, build friendships, and participate in hands-on learning experiences.

Campers enjoyed a variety of activities including outdoor recreation, STEM challenges, food and fitness workshops, and team-building games all designed to promote personal growth and leadership. High school students served as camp counselors, gaining valuable leadership experience while mentoring younger participants. The camp continues to be a highlight of the 4-H year, providing youth with unforgettable memories and life skills that last well beyond the summer.

4-H enrollment kicks off in September

The 4-H program is gearing up for its annual enrollment drive beginning in September at all local schools. If you’re a homeschool student or not enrolled in a participating school, you’re still welcome to join! We offer a community-based 4-H group that meets at the 4-H office in Breaux Bridge. It’s a great opportunity to get involved, learn new skills, and make new friends.
