Pasture field days scheduled in Aug.

— The LSU AgCenter and the U.S. Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service are hosting two field days focusing on pasture monitoring and management.

The first field day will be held Aug. 14 in St. Francisville. The second will be held Aug. 19 in Iowa.

For individuals enrolled in the Master Farmer program, these events will meet the Phase II and continuing education credit requirements.

Both events will begin at 8 a.m. and are free. After the presentations, lunch will be provided.

The agenda includes the following topics:

•Pasture conditioning scoring training.

•Soil sampling.

•Unmanned aerial vehicle monitoring.
