St. Martinville city attorney Allan Durand discusses the recodi fication of city ordinances as the city government switches from its Special Legislative Charter to the Lawrason Act. The city passed ordinances recodifying the city ordinanc es but deleted two sections of the ordinances that would have automatically repealed any ordinances not included. Durand will look into whether the council wishes those ordinances to be repealed and gives them the opportunity to do so at a future date if it desires to repeal them.
