Stephensville – Two Iberia Parish residents were arrested in Belle River on Thursday by the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office in connection with a reported stolen vehicle.
Deputies with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office were informed at about 3 p.m. on Thursday about a stolen vehicle possibly being in the Stephensv i l le- Be l l e River area, Sheriff Becket Breaux said in a press release.
Deputies searched the area and located the stolen vehicle traveling on Highway 70 in Belle River. A traffic stop was initiated, and during a probable cause search of the vehicle, deputies found illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia.
Two people identified as Lorrie Verret, 44, New Iberia, and Brye Segura, 32, New Iberia, were both subsequently arrested and charged.

• and LA Rev. Stat. 40:1023C Prohibited Acts-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia-6 Counts LA Rev. Stat. 40:966C: Possession of Schedule I-3 Counts, Brye Segura was charged under:

Following their arrests, they were booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center and booked on the above charges.
