ROAD WORK – A stretch of LA 347 between Parks and Breaux Bridge in St. Martin Parish has been reduced to a one-lane thoroughfare as crews continue road work at the start of the summer. The project involves site work and paving for a 2.78-mile segment of LA 347, stretching
from LA 351 to LA 328. The primary improvements include milling, in-place base rehabilitation and asphalt overlay to extend the life and improve the surface of the roadway, the state Department of Transportation and Development said. (Chris Landry)
