St. Martinville – A town hall has been scheduled June 11 for people interested in owning their own homes in St. Martinville.
The town hall will be facilitated by representatives of the Louisiana Housing Corporation, a state government agency. LHC administers a variety of programs that assist renters, homebuyers and owners, developers, nonprofit groups, local governments and other stakeholders in creating safe, affordable, energy-effi cient housing, according to the LHC Website.
Among its programs for potential homeowners, LHC works with lenders, realtors and counselors to offer down payment assistance, low-interest loans, tax credits and financial training to help people own a home.
The St. Martinville Homeownership Town Hall will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11, at St. Martinville City Hall, located at 120 S. New Market St.
Daniel Duggan, the LHC Homeownership Marketing Representative Supervisor, and St. Martinville Mayor Jason Willis will facilitate the town hall.
