In his usual well organized and efficient manner, Principal Christopher Shirley and his able assistant and school secretary Melinda Hymel and faculty members recognized the students of SES (Stephensville Elementary School) on May 20.
Certificates, trophies, and ribbons were presented to many students for their performance in reading, math, spelling, attendance, behavior and general academics.
Awards were given in volleyball, softball, baseball and for participation in the parish Fine Arts Fair and the Parish Math Fair.
Straight A students were Joylyn Bailey, Anna Kate Blanchard, Ryli Jo Hartdegen, Sylvie Mayon, Elaine Morales and Johnathan Price in first grade; Olivia Adams, Aniston Blankenship and Evangeline Verret, second grade; Lucy Acosta, third grade; and Elizabeth Landry, eighth grade.
Perfect attendance was Annabelle Guagliardo, sixth grade; Ryder Daigle, seventh grade; missing only one day of school in fourth grade was Brittany Giroir; and Rayden Blanchard and Aubrey Fontenot sixthgrade.
Student of the year for fifth grade was Letty Daigle. Student of the year for eighth grade was Julia Haller.
