Centenary College awards diplomas to parish students

Shreveport- Centenary College of Louisiana awarded diplomas to nearly 100 students of the Spring Class of 2025 during the commencement on May 3, at the Gold Dome.

Dr. Marjorie Hass, president of the Council of Independent Colleges, delivered the commencement address. Shreveport’s Second Line Brass Band led the procession out of the Gold Dome with a New Orleans-style parade.

St. Martin Parish students receiving diplomas were: Tamera Alexander, Tamia Alexander, and Jaspen Charles, all of Breaux Bridge.

Centenary College of Louisiana is a selective, residential, national liberal arts college affiliated with the United Methodist Church. Founded in 1825, it is the oldest chartered liberal arts college west of the Mississippi River and is a member of the Associated Colleges of the South.
