Commencement exercises for graduates of St. Martin Parish’s three public high schools will be Friday, May 16.
School officials said 428 students, including special education and those receiving skills option certificates, GED and certificates of achievement, will participate in the graduation ceremonies. The total includes 177 at Breaux Bridge High, 150 at Cecilia High and 101 at St. Martinville Sr. High.
Breaux Bridge
Earning valedictory honors with a 4.375 GPA at Breaux Bridge High is Maraya Jakael Smith, daughter of Mandy Blanchard.
Salutatorian with a 4.1875 GPA is Isabelle Marie Patin, daughter of Kelly and Nicole Patin.
Diplomas will be presented by Tiffany Francis, director of Curriculum and Instruction.
Cecilia
Three students at Cecilia High School have completed their studies with 4.4375 GPAs in the honors curriculum and are tied for valedictory honors.
They are Carsyn Rae Berard, daughter of Tyler and Michelle Berard; Sadie Kathryn Dunbar, daughter of Randy and Crystal Berard; and Hunter James Duplechin, son of Ryan Duplechin and Monica Fuqua.
Salutatorians with a 4.40625 GPA, are Reese Caroline Guidry, daughter of Byron and Yvette Guidry; and Izabella Sofia Johnson, daughter of Paul and Molly Johnson.
