Last Sunday this section was visited by the heaviest rain falling here in more than two years, and fell for more than two hours, with a little south wind. We believe this rain fell all over this parish, some sections getting more than others, none getting too much, and those who did not get what they wanted, got enough to relieve the suffering crops, revive them and give them a new growth to help them go to the next showers which are expected to follow soon. This last rain was worth thousands of dollars to this section which was badly in need of rain.
