Beta Rho holds banquet to celebrate Founder’s Day
Founder’s Day - Members of Beta Rho celebrated Founder’s Day at the El Corazon Restaurant on April 28. Enjoying the festivities were from left Arleen Oubre, program chairman, Elaine Case, Louella Champagne, Shirley Fuselier, President Lynnie Bienvenu and Bobbie Theriot.

Beta Rho chapter of Beta Sigma Phi held the annual Founder’s Day banquet on April 28 at El Corazon Restaurant. President Lynnie Bienvenu welcomed members to the 94th founding of Beta Sigma Phi and the 68th founding of Beta Rho.

Bienvenu conducted the business meeting. Committee chair gave reports on coming activities.

The Hattie B. Maraist Senior Girl Award will be presented at the awards ceremony at St. Martinville High School announced chair Bobbie Theriot.

Sister’s Celebration chair Shirley Fuselier announced the social will be held on May 6 at St. John Restaurant. A program on Living Fully: Members Sharing Experience of Living will be presented by the members.

Shirley Fuselier led members in the Beta Sigma Phi Grace.

Louella Champagne gave the Founder’s Day pledge.

Founder’s Day chair Arleen Oubre gave the message from the International Office.

Shirley Fuselier announced the theme for the 2025-2026 year is Angels of Friendship.

Bienvenu presented gifts to members for their support during the year.

Elaine Case presented the Girl of the Year Award to President Lynnie Bienvenu.

Vice President Theriot presented President Bienvenu with the President’s Pin and a gift from the members for her leadership during the year.

Members enjoyed exchanging gifts from their secret sisters and selected new secret sisters for the coming year.

At the conclusion of the evening members enjoyed taking part in a program on Health: Establishing Mental and Physical Good Health Goals. Members discussed tips on losing weight, beating stress, sleeping better, feeling happier and being healthier in their everyday life so they can look and feel their best.

Members enjoying the event were President Bienvenu, Arleen Oubre, Shirley Fuselier, Louella Champagne, Elaine Case and Bobbie Theriot.
