DOTD announces ramp closures in SM Parish

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces the following closures in St. Martin Parish.

These closures are necessary to allow crews to perform asphalt pavement repairs.

The I-10 westbound entrance and exit ramps at Exit 109 (Breaux Bridge) will have nightly closures on Monday, May 5 at 8:00 p.m. until Friday, May 9 at 6:00 a.m., weather permitting.

The detour for westbound traffic wanting to access LA 328 (Breaux Bridge) is to continue on I-10 westbound to Exit 104 (Louisiana Avenue), travel south on Louisiana Avenue to I-10 eastbound entrance ramp, and I-10 eastbound back to Exit 109 (LA 328 – Breaux Bridge).

The I-10 westbound entrance ramp detour for traffic traveling on LA 328 (Rees Street) is to travel I-10 eastbound to Exit 115 (Henderson) then back onto I-10 westbound.

Emergency vehicles will not have access to the area.

I-10 Westbound entrance ramp at Exit 115 – LA 347 (Henderson, Cecilia) will have nightly closures on the following nights: Thursday, May 1, at 6:00 p.m. until Friday, May 2, at 6:00 a.m., weather permitting.

Sunday, May 4, at 6:00 p.m. until Monday, May 5, at 6:00 a.m., weather permitting.

Motorist traveling on LA 347 (Grand Point Highway) will only be able to access I-10 westbound using the posted detour route. The detour will include I-10 eastbound to Exit 127 (Whiskey Bay), then LA 975 to access I-10 westbound.

Emergency vehicles will not have access to the westbound entrance during construction.

There will be no vehicle width restrictions associated with this work.

I-10 Westbound from mile marker 117 (Atchafalaya Basin Bridge) to mile marker 108 (Bayou Teche Bridge) will have nightly alternating lane closures from 6:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. beginning Sunday, May 4 until Friday, May 9, weather permitting.

Emergency vehicles will have access through the work area, but may encounter delays.

No detour is necessary.

Additionally, I-10 eastbound exit ramp at Exit 109 - LA 328 (Breaux Bridge) will be closed on Monday, April 28, at 6:00 p.m. until Friday, May 2, at 6:00 a.m., weather permitting.

I-10 Eastbound motorists will only be able to access Exit 109 – LA 328 (Breaux Bridge) via the posted detour route, which includes continuing on I-10 Eastbound to Exit 115 (Henderson, Cecilia) and then travel northwest on LA 347, then taking I-10 Westbound back to Exit 109 – LA 328 (Breaux Bridge).

Motorist traveling on LA 328 (Rees Street) will only be able to access I-10 Eastbound via the posted detour route, which includes accessing I-10 Westbound to Exit 104 (Louisiana Avenue) and then traveling southwest on Louisiana Avenue, then travel onto I-10 Eastbound. Emergency vehicles will not have access to the eastbound entrance and exit ramps at Exit 109 – LA 328 (Breaux Bridge). Detour routes will be posted during this ramp closure period.
