CYCLE ZYDECO
CYCLE ZYDECO – Cyclists taking part in the Cycle Zydeco bicycle tour stop at the Evangeline Oak along Bayou Teche in St. Martinville for music, water, food and restroom breaks around lunchtime on Thursday. St. Martinville was a stop on the tour’s first day or riding. Thursday’s ride was to end in Breaux Bridge, with Friday’s ride heading to Henderson, Coteau Holmes and Lake Fausse Pointe before returning to Breaux Bridge. Saturday’s route took riders from Breaux Bridge to Cecilia, Arnaudville, Leonville and Washington. The final day’s route on Sunday was to go from Breaux Bridge to Grand Coteau, Sunset, Cankton, Carencro and Scott before ending in Lafayette. Each day provided riders the opportunity to take the shorter main route or a longer route with additional stops and attractions. (Chris Landry)
