The Breaux Bridge High School Tigers were eliminated from the Division II Non-Select high school baseball playoffs with a pair of run-rule losses to second-seeded North DeSoto.
The Griffins (23-11) advanced to a best-ofthree home quarterfinal series against No. 7 West Feliciana (25-11), which swept No. 23 Albany 5-4 and 4-0 in the second round.
Against BBHS, the Griffins scored eight runs in the second inning of Game 1 on Thursday on the way to a 14-2, five-inning win.
Sam Armentor went 2-for-3 and Cullen Laseter was 2-for-2 for Breaux Bridge.
Reni Mason went 3-for-3 with a two-run double in the second inning and a two-run homer in a four-run third inning to pace North DeSoto.
Bryant LaCour and Porter Doyal had RBIdoubles in the second inning and Brayden Toothman had a tworun double in the third for the Griffins.
North DeSoto had 6 hits in the game and pitcher Brayden Jones got the win. Caynon Ardoin took the loss.
In Friday’s second game. North DeSoto scored in four of six innings, with three runs in the first, two in the third, two in the fourth and four in the sixth.
Winning pitcher Luke Delafield threw a threehit shutout for North DeSoto. Sam Armentor took the loss.
North DeSoto finished with 10 hits, paced by Reni Mason, who went 3-for-3 with a double, a home run and five RBIs. Cole Cory went 3-for-4 and Bryant LaCour went 2-for-3 with a double.
No. 15 seed Breaux Bridge finishes the season with a 22-14 record.

The Cecilia Lady Bulldogs were eliminated from the Division II Non-Select playoffs with a 10-0 loss to No. 4 Iota on April 22.
No. 20 seed Cecilia (8-20) gave up 10 runs in four innings after a scoreless first to lose in five innings.
