St. Martinville - A Celebration of Life was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at the Duchamp Opera House in St. Martinville, 200 S. Main St., St. Martinville, LA 70582, for Grady Dugas, 94, who passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at his residence. 

Born in Parks, Louisiana, Grady’s life was a testament to hard work, resilience, and dedication to his family. Grady was a dedicated farmer who poured his heart and soul into providing for his loved ones.

Karl Jeter

Breaux Bridge - A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 23, from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. in the Captain’s Room at Pat’s Restaurant in Henderson for Karl Jeter, 69, who passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at Camelot of Broussard Nursing Home. 

Karl was born on August 14, 1954, in Houston, Texas. He was the second of two children of John Jeter and Ethel Stoops Jeter. After moving to Florida as a child, Karl found an early love of sailing on the Indian River Lagoon, going out daily.

John Benoit

Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial was held March 2, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia for John “T-Neg” Benoit, 80, who died on February 28, 2024.

He is survived by his brothers, Clarence Benoit, Russell Benoit and Michael “Mike” Benoit; sisters, Gladys Guidry and Peggy Robin.

Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia was in charge of arrangements.

Nelson B. Dugas

St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 2 p.m., Friday, February 23, 2024, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church for Nelson Benedict Dugas, 71, who passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at Golden Greek Care and Rehab facility.

A visitation took place at the funeral home in St. Martinville on Friday, February 23, 2024, from 8 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.

Fr. Jason Vidrine officiated at the Funeral Mass.

Interment followed at St. Michael Mausoleum.

Lois Ann Robertson

New Iberia – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Feb. 24 at Notre Dame Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Lois Ann Robertson, 78, who died Feb. 12, 2024.

She is survived by her children, Sean Robertson, Joey Robertson, and Leslie Russell; siblings, Velma Roche’, Nolan St. Julian, Patricia DeRouen, Linda LeBlanc, and Judy Robertson, and nine grandchildren.

Pellerin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
