Dorothy Pierret Champagne

Breaux Bridge – A Funeral Service was held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Dorothy Pierret Champagne, 80, who passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022, at Lafayette General Medical Center.

Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Thursday.

A rosary was prayed at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday.

Deacon Ken Soignier officiated at the Funeral Service. Interment followed at Calvary Cemetery in Lafayette.

Cecilia – A Funeral Service was held on Jan. 29 at Pellerin Funeral Home for Mary Ann Hayes, 90, who died on Jan. 25, 2022.

She is survived by her husband, Myles Lilley; son, Willie G. Kitchens Jr.; daughters, Sharon Totter and Mrs. Samuel (Charlene) Picard; eight grandchildren, 22 great- grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Pellerin Funeral Home  was in charge of arrangements.

Mark Anthony Tauzin

Mark Tauzin, a native of Breaux Bridge and a resident of Holiday, Florida, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021, at the age of 64.

Mark was a graduate of Breaux Bridge High School and attended the University of Southwestern Louisiana.

He was a resident of Lafayette for many years where he was an Investment Broker and Financial Advisor.

Mark is survived by his son, Samuel; and his older brothers, Dave and Mike. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Eula Tauzin.

Claude J. Borel Jr.

Cecilia – A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Feb. 5 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church for Claude Joseph Borel Jr., 66, who died on Jan. 27, 2022.

He is survived by his sons, Dwayne and Claude Borel III; brothers, Michael and Scotty Borel; isters, Mrs. Curtis (Debra) Johnson and Mrs. Alonza (Carleen) Matthews; and a grandchild.

Pellerin Funeral Home  is in charge of arrangements.    

Brunetta Thomas

Breaux Bridge – A Memorial Service will be held on Feb. 3 at Pellerin Funeral Home for Brunetta “Boosta” Thomas, 60, who died on January 26, 2022.

She is survived by her children, Sophia Thomas, Nichole Thomas, Mrs. Manuel (Danielle) Tolliver) and  Christian T. Girouard; 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; sisters, Vandetta Thomas, Mrs. Robert (Emma) Abraham, Mrs. Ambrey (Annette) Batiste, and Beatrice Calais; brothers, Bradford and Michael J. Calais Sr.

She was preceded in death by husband, Danny Auguillard.
