Rakayla M. Benjamin

Parks – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on May 14 at St. Louis Chapel for Rakayla Monique Benjamin, 35, who died on April 27, 2022.

She is survived by her mother, Raquel Charles; father, Malcolm Benjamin; daughter, Kenzily Prejean; son, Khye Benjamin; sisters, Rakelsha and Mya Benjamin; and brothers, Malcolm Jr. and Cameron Benjamin, and Michael  Castille.

Evelyn P. Valsin

Lafayette – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on May 7 at St. Anthony Catholic Church for Evelyn  P. Valsin, 74, who died on April 25, 2022.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph M. Valsin; and brother, Alexis Pierre III. 

She was preceded in death by her sister Rosemary Pierre.

Elaine G. Landry

Parks – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on April 28, at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church for Elaine Guidry Landry, 83. 

She is survived by her husband, Harris J. Landry; children, Lennis, Deacon Dennis, David and Thomas Landry, Mrs. James (Phyllis) Verret and Mrs. Keith (Anna) Baudin; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Gregg A. Skelly

Breaux Bridge – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on May 5 at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Gregg A. Skelly, 71, who died on May 1, 2022.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Machen Skelly; daughters, April Dotson, Mrs. Tracy (Michelle) Luquette, Mrs. David (Corrin) Wilcox and Mrs. Brad (Christa) Wilson; 13 grandchildren; and brother, Brian Skelly.

Kim J. Dugas

St. Martinville – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on May 4 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church for Kim Jude Dugas, 52, who died on April 30, 2022.

He is survived by his wife, Nikki Dugas; sons, Dru and Ty Dugas;  daughters, Brooke and Kenzie Dugas; brothers, Willis Jr. and Glenn Dugas); sisters, Mrs. Leonard (Darleen) Vaughn and Carmen Dugas; and two grandchildren.
