Cecilia – A Graveside Service was held on Friday, Sept. 4, at St. Joseph Cemetery for Zilda Angelle Duplechein, 102, who passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2020.
She is survived by her daughters, Sue Buchanan, Mrs. Floyd (Jane)Scrantz Sr. and Gloria Bezet; sons, Errol and Earl Duplechein; brother, Lawrence Angelle; 20 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Laurette Duplechein.

Breaux Bridge – A Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, Sept. 8, at Pellerin Funeral Home for Delania Kay Usie, 56, who passed away on Friday, Sept. 4, 2020.
She is survived by her husband, Glenn P. Usie; two sons, Brandon and Brett Barrilleaux; two grandchildren; two step-sons; two step-granddaughters; and father, George Theriot.

St. Martinville – Lance Gerard Batiste was born on April 28, 1975, to the union of Allen and Genevieve (Gerard) Batiste in St. Martinville, La.
Lance departed this life into Glory on August 28, 2020, after a brief illness.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 4, 2020, at Notre Dame Catholic Church.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Notre Dame Catholic Church from 7 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Friday. A rosary will be prayed at 8 a.m. on Friday.
