St. Martinville – A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Pellerin Funeral Home for Loretta Ducrest Lasseigne, 101, who passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at Landmark of Acadiana Nursing Home.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. on Thursday.
A rosary will be prayed at 9 a.m. on Thursday.
Rev. Ed Degeyter will officiate at the Funeral Service.
Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville.
Parks – Funeral services were conducted for Ronald Michael “Hollywood” Dugas, 74, at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at Parks Baptist Church. Rob Burdeaux officiated.
Interment followed at St. Bernard # 2 with Military Honors being performed by the Acadiana Veteran Honor Guard.
A gathering of family and friends took place at Parks Baptist Church on Wedneday, December 22, 2021, from 9 a.m. until the service time.
St. Martinville – A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mr. Ernest Johnson Sylvester, 67, at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 23, 2021, at Notre Dame Catholic Church (201 Gary Street, St. Martinville) with Fr. Thomas James, celebrant.
He will await the resurrection at Queen of Peace Cemetery in St. Martinville.
Visitation will begin at 7 a.m Thursday, December 23, 2021, at Notre Dame Catholic until time of service with a rosary to be recited at 8:30 a.m.
Henderson – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Dec. 27 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church for Daisy Zeringue Serrett, 92, who died on Dec. 17, 2021.
She is survived by her sons, Dwight and Randall P. Serrett; daughter, Mrs. Wilson (Phyllis) Theriot); six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul J. Serrett.
