Gina Noto Tharp

Known for her captivating laugh and dimpled smile, Gina Noto Tharp died peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Monday, January 10, 2022, after a battle with cancer that she fought gracefully until the end.

Gina’s zeal for life, family and friends was her hallmark. She was a life force of positive energy with an infectious enthusiasm that enveloped all she encountered.

Louis ‘Pop Joe’ Bourque

Catahoula – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 1 p.m. on Monday, January 17, 2022, at St. Rita Catholic Church for Louis “Pop Joe” Bourque, 93, who passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Landmark of Acadiana Nursing Home.

Visiting hours were observed at Dion Hall in Catahoula from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Monday.

A Rosary was prayed at 11:30 a.m. on Monday by Creed Dugas, followed by Eulogy by Danielle Fuselier.

Christopher R. Prejean

Breaux Bridge – A Memorial Services will be held on Jan. 15, at Pellerin Funeral Home for Christopher Robert Prejean, 48, who died on Dec. 28, 2021.

He is survived by his daughter, Christian Solomon; son, Deondre Prejean; mother, Grace Prejean; sister, Katina Broussard; brother, Paul J. Prejean; and three grandchildren.

Pellerin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Robert J. Mallery

St. Martinville – A Funeral Mass will be held on Jan. 15 at Notre Dame Catholic Church for Robert Joseph Mallery Sr., 74, who died on Jan. 5, 2022.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Mallery; children, Mrs. Frank (Rosalyn) Jones, Desmond, Edmond, Robert III, Robert Jr. and Jerry Mallery, Mrs. Joseph (Ireielle) Jones, Brionna, Shenita and Monique Mallery, and Michelle Spurlock; sisters, Edna M. Duckworth and Lola Mae Landry; brothers, Norman and Nolan Mallery; step daughter, Alilyah Blanchard; step son, Cornell Blanchard Jr.; and three grandchildren.

Kenneth Jones Jr.

Breaux Bridge – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Jan. 15 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church for Kenneth “White Boy” Jones Jr., 49, who died on Jan. 4, 2022.

He is survived by his mother, Patricia Ann Jones Potier; son, Keagan Jones; brothers, Chad Jones, McWayne and Alfred Potier Jr., and Jordan Etienne; and sisters, Mrs. Jamarcus (Carlette) Butler), Karen and Latricia Potier, Kimberly Jones and Mrs. Benjamin (Chere) Alex.
