William Joseph Hypolite Jr.

St. Martinville – A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for William Joseph Hypolite, Jr. 59, at 1 p.m on. Friday, March 16, 2018, at Notre Dame Catholic Church with Fr. Douglas Hypolite, SVJ, celebrant.
Entombment will follow at St. Michael Mausoleum in St. Martinville.
A gathering of family and friends will begin at 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home with a rosary to be recited at 10 a.m.
A native and resident St. Martinville, La., he passed at 11:14 a.m. Friday, March 9, 2018, at his residence.
He leaves to cherish his memory one brother, Rev. Douglas Hypolite of Houston, Texas; four sisters, Mary Ella Garret, Vera Hypolite, Shirley Ann Hypolite and Sheila Marie (Joseph Calvin) Ambrose, all of St. Martinville; three aunts, Elva Hypolite of Hammond, La., and Louise Pierre Lewis and Julia Mason of St. Martinville; three uncles, Willie Hypolite of Hammond, La., Clarence Hypolite of St. Martinville and William Pierre of Houston, Texas; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Hypolite Sr. and Marie Eunice Polite Hypolite; two brothers, Sherman Joseph Hypolite and Wilmer J. Hypolite; and an infant sister, Marie Eunice Hypolite.
Active pallbearers will be members of the immediate family and friends.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the immediate family and friends.
