Victoria Naquin LeBlanc was born on Saturday, July 23, 1932, in Arnaudville, La. on the banks of Bayou Teche. She was the daughter of Estelle Marie Angelle and Jean Naquin. She moved to Cecilia where she went to school there, married the love of her life and shared 44 years with Louis “Nook” LeBlanc. Together they raised three wonderful children of whom they were so proud of.
In the 60’s Nook and Vicky owned LeBlanc’s Lumber Yard. In the late 70’s and 80’s they owned “Nook’s Bar.” Owning and operating the bar made for great memories and friends that became family.
She was a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Most of all, she was our friend and when you were in the game she was your biggest fan! The whole team and coaching staff knew “Mom-Mom” was there. Victoria cheered not only for her grandkids, but she cheered the whole team on as she was an alumni cheerleader and loved CHS sports.
Her grandkids were her pride and joy. “Mom-Mom” helped to raise all six at some point of their life. “Mom-Mom,” as everyone called her, will be dearly missed very much.
She is survived by her two daughters, Stacey Ann LeBlanc Latiolais (Kevin) and Vicki Lynn LeBlanc Boudreaux (Don); grandchildren, Stefan LeBlanc (Blair), Stoney Jo LeBlanc, Hannah Victoria Latiolais Broussard (Austin), Lane Louis Boudreaux (Tiffany), Kacey Ann Latiolais Doucet (Tyler) and Kale Martin Boudreaux; great-grandchildren, Aiden Boudreaux, Knox Broussard and Baby Doucet on the way; brother-in-law, Erral J. LeBlanc; and sister in-law, Marion D. Naquin.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Louis “Nook” LeBlanc; her most precious son, Burton J. LeBlanc; mother, Estelle Marie Angelle Naquin; father, Jean Naquin; brothers, Hector, Mit, Luke, Simon, Wilfred and Elmer Naquin; two sisters, Clemance “Sis” McGee and Lucille Clark; and her mother- and father-in-law, Agnes and Essie LeBlanc.
Pallbearers were Don Boudreaux, Lane Boudreaux, Kale Boudreaux, Kevin Latiolais, Stefan LeBlanc and Stoney Jo LeBlanc.
Honorary pallbearers were Erral LeBlanc, Allen “Jun” Calais, Tyler J. Doucet, Austin Broussard and Perry Calais.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the 6th floor nurses, Julie and Celissa, at Oschner Lafayette General Medical Center, Hospice of Acadiana staff, Juanita Naquin Fox, Allen “Jun” Calais and everyone who came, called, or sent texts in her final days. We will forever be grateful!
Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia was in charge of arrangements.
