Thelma Guidry Eddy

Breaux Bridge – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 8, 2018, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Thelma Guidry Eddy, 89, who passed away on Monday, June 4, 2018, at her son’s home surrounded by her family.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 7 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
A rosary wase prayed at 11:30 a.m. on Friday.
Rev. Garrett McIntyre officiated at the Funeral Mass. Interment followed at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Thelma was born to the late Robert and Emelian Guidry. She was a devoted and faithful parishioner of St. Bernard Catholic Church and a member the Catholic Daughters. Thelma loved reading novels and spending time with her grandchildren and her family. She enjoyed working at the Visitor’s Center where she was able to speak in French to the tourists.
The family would like to thank NSI Hospice and especially her grandson and his wife, Kory and Stephanie Eddy, for their love and care during her time of need. Thelma will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her son, Larry Eddy and wife Linda; daughter, Donna Wiltz and husband John; grandchildren, Kory Eddy and spouse Stephanie, Amy Louviere and spouse Mike, and Chad Wiltz and spouse Brandy; great-grandchildren, Dylan Eddy, Karlyn Eddy, Kameron Boyer, Layton Eddy, Jaxson Eddy, Bryson Mast, Alexis Louviere, Kim Louviere, Taylor Wiltz and Skylor Wiltz; great-great- grandchild, Parker Mast; brother, Cecil Guidry; and sister, Marianne Breaux.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Eddy; son, Joseph Eddy; father, Robert A. Guidry; mother, Emelian Guidry; and sisters, Ruby Hebert and Eula Mae Hunter.
Pallbearers were Larry Eddy, Kory Eddy, Dylan Eddy, Kameron Boyer, Layton Eddy and Mike Louviere.
Honorary pallbearers were John Wiltz, Norris Hebert, and her grandchildren, Amy Louviere, Chad Wiltz, Karlyn Eddy, Jaxson Eddy, Bryson Mast, Alexis Louviere, Kim Louviere, Taylor Wiltz, Skylor Wiltz and Parker Mast.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.
