Cecilia – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Shally Huval LeBlanc, 53, who passed away on Friday, June 28, 2019, at Lafayette General Medical Center.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Tuesday and continue on Wednesday at 7 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. on Tuesday by Deacon Ken Soignier.
Rev. Nicholas DuPré will officiate at the Funeral Mass and Rev. Greg Cormier will be the concelebrant.
Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia.
Shally was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and a friend to many. Her love for her family was truly unconditional and the love she had for her husband and daughters was immeasurable.
Shally had a heart of gold and a smile that was contagious. She was always the life of every party, could tell the best jokes, and she lived life to the fullest every day. Shally loved dancing, singing Karaoke, playing Pokeno, spending time at her pool with family and friends, traveling, and refinishing old furniture to give it new life.
Shally will long be remembered for her warm and friendly smile and for the love and compassion she had for everyone.
She is survived by her loving husband, Johnny LeBlanc of Breaux Bridge; daughters, Arielle LeBlanc, Claire LeBlanc and Daelyn LeBlanc, all of Breaux Bridge; her father, Isaac “Bin” Huval of Cecilia; her brothers, Tom Huval and his wife Nellie of Henderson, Irving “Red” Huval and his companion Betty of Cecilia, Dale Huval and his wife Melba of Cecilia, and Ike Huval of Cecilia; sisters, Dolly Usie of Cecilia, Mary Croley and her husband Russ of Houston, Texas, Margaret LeBlanc and her husband Dutz of Arnaudville, and Anne “Shougah” Huval of Breaux Bridge; and her beloved family pets, Felix, Henry and Charlie.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Clorine “Pue” Huval; brother, Larry “Tope” Huval; nephew, Tyson Huval; in-laws, Robert “Bob” and Amma Lou LeBlanc; and their family pet, Bob.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Usie, Russ Croley, Ike Huval, Francis Huval, Jed Huval and Tom Huval.
Honorary pallbearers will be Red Huval, Dale Huval, Don Huval and James LeBlanc.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
