Rose Betty Ann Mitchell

St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2020, at Notre Dame Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Rose Betty Ann Mitchell, 79, who passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at her residence.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Notre Dame Catholic Church in St. Martinville from 7 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday.
A rosary will be prayed at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Rev. Michael Sucharski, SVD will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery in St. Martinville.
Rose Mitchell was a very loving, caring, and sympathetic person.  Rose always had a warm smile with everyone she met.  Rose enjoyed spending time with her family at home laughing and joking.  Rose will truly be missed by everyone who knew her, especially her children, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte (Warren, Jr.) Milson; two sons, Terry Mitchell and Jerry (Masille) Mitchell, Sr.; brothers, Horace (Milda) Lewis and Ervin Mitchell; sisters, Ida Mitchell, Lillia Mitchell Clement and Janzina Thibodeaux; five grandchildren, Dr. Blake Milson, M.D., Milan Michel Milson, Rashonna Mitchell, Jerrilyn (Corderrol) Morris, and Jerry (Jena) Mitchell, Jr.; and six great grandchildren, Bailey Mitchell, Tyrique Phillips, Jernyrie Morris, Courter Morris, Aniya Noel, and Kassen Henderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Ida Jean Louis Mitchell; and her sister, Bertha Mae Mitchell.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Mitchell, Jr., Dwayne Davis, Mitchell Louis, Jr., Bailey Mitchell, and Corderrol Morris.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Mitchell, Sr., Maxie Mitchell, Warren Milson, Jr., Darrell Mitchell, Mitchell Louis, Sr., and Terry Mitchell.
