Robert John Pritchard

St. Martinville – A Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2020, at St. Martin of Tours Church for Robert John Pritchard “Bob” who passed away on January 18, 2020, after a prolonged illness. 
Bob was born on December 10, 1942, in St. Martinville, Louisiana.  He attended Our Lady of Mercy School and St. Martinville High School, where he was a starting quarterback for the Tigers. He was an avid fan of the LSU Tigers and the New Orleans Saints, and also enjoyed fishing and golfing.
Bob was a dedicated student with an interest in medical technology. He graduated from St. Leo College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1992 and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration in 1993. 
He served in the U.S. Air Force,1964-1993, receiving four medals for military merit and retiring as a Chief Master Sergeant.
In addition to his military duties, he worked in medical technology and hospital administration. He was a very kind and loving person who cared for his step-children as his own and loved all of his grandchildren dearly. He had a great sense of humor, liked to laugh and joke, and enjoyed the music of Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Gertrude Thomas Pritchard; and his two older brothers, Lawrence “Larry” Pritchard Jr. and Woodrow “Woody” Pritchard.
He is survived by his wife, Chong “Kim” Pritchard of Prosper, Texas; son, Robert “Bobby” Pritchard; daughter, Michelle Nies (John) of Ocean, N.J.; step-son, James Brannen (Sherrie) of Frisco, Texas; step-daughter, Angie Brannen of Prosper, Texas; brothers, Thomas Pritchard (Geraldine) of Lafayette, La., Phillip Pritchard (Barbara) of Gretna, La., Clarence “Kemmy” Pritchard of Chicago, Ill., and Paul Pritchard (JoEllen) of Youngsville, La.; sister, Dorothy Broussard of St. Martinville,La.; and eight grandchildren.
