Raymond J. Duplantis

St. Martinville – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 13, 2018, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church for Raymond John Duplantis, 74, who passed away on Monday, September 10, 2018, at Camelot Nursing Home.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
A rosary will be prayed at 10 a.m. on Thursday.
Rev. Rusty P. Richard will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Rebecca Landry and Danielle Tassin. Gift Bearers will be Justin Duplantis and Rachael Poirier
Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville.
Raymond attended ULL and studied Pre-Pharmacy and Education and ULM for Pharmacy. He taught many years at St. Martin Academy and later retired as a chemist with Cajun Chef. Raymond enjoyed reading and watching science fiction movies.
He is survived by his loving sister, Roberta Landry and husband Reynolds of St. Martinville; brothers, Richard Duplantis and wife Pauline of St. Martinville, Ronald “Tony” Duplantis and wife Kelly of Broussard, and Randy Duplantis and wife Dana of St. Martinville; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Joseph Duplantis and Mary Irene Vincent Duplantis.
Pallbearers will be Richard Duplantis, Ronald “Tony” Duplantis, Randy Duplantis, Aaron Duplantis, Ross Landry and Reynolds Landry.
