Ray John Daigle

Breaux Bridge – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 7, 2018, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Ray John Daigle, 77, who passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at his residence.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Thursday and continued on Friday at 8 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
A rosary was prayed at 7 p.m. on Thursday by Deacon Ken Soignier.
Rev. Garrett Savoie officiated at the Funeral Mass. Interment followed at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Ray enjoyed fishing, hunting, working in his shop, and visiting with his family and friends. Ray was a Boat Captain for many years and worked hard to provide a good life for his family. He loved being on the water, while steering everything he carried safely to its final destination.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Marjorie Belaire Daigle; son, Kevin Daigle and companion Jenna Lineske of Breaux Bridge; daughters, Lou Ella Hollingsworth and husband Timothy of Haslet, Texas, and Angela Daigle of Cade; grandchildren, Brandon Hawkins, Joshua Hawkins, Alicia H. Beatrice, Emily Hollingsworth, Meagan Richard, Kody Daigle and Ryder Lineske; and his great-grandchildren, Maison Hawkins and India Edwards.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Birdie Benoit Daigle; and his sister, Lou Ella Daigle.
Pallbearers were Kevin Daigle, William Dugas, Ray Noel, Tyler Courville, Roland “Brother” LeBlanc Jr. and Louis Patin.
Honorary pallbearers were his grandchildren.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.
