Mrs. Shirley Williams Menard

St. Martinville – Services were conducted for Mrs. Shirley Williams Menard, 78, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Notre Dame Catholic Church.
Interment followed in the St. Michael Cemetery.
Visitation at the church was from 7 a.m. until time of services.
A native of Opelousas, Mrs. Menard had been a resident of St. Martinville for 49 years.
She passed at 7 p.m. on July 3, 2018, at Iberia Medical Center.
She was retired from the St. Martin School Board.
Survivors include two sons, James Williams (Dionne Williams) and Joe Menard (Queenie Menard); stepson, Marvin Joseph; three daughters, Cynthia Williams Coleman (Lionel Coleman), Marilyn Roy (Darryl Roy) and Mary Lewis (Glenn Lewis); a brother, Edward Williams (Betty Williams);
two sisters, Ella Franka and Alice Roberson (Joseph Robertson); sister-in-law, Gloria Barnes; 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by hwe husband, Joseph Roosevelt Menard Sr.; parents, Mary Leona Williams and Willie Williams; and 11 sisters and brothers.
Pallbearers were Glen Lewis Jr., Carlton Duffy, Jucobby Menard, Darryl Roy, Gary Hypolite Jr., Edward Menard, Glenn Lewis Sr. and Herman Perry.
Honorary Pallbearers were Joe Menard, James Williams, Marvin Joseph, Lionel Coleman, Gary Hypolite Sr., Edward Menard, Quincy Marshall, Quinton Marshall, Mc Bride Roberts and Chaz Perrodin.
The Golden Meadows Funeral Home of St. Martinville was in charge of arrangements.
