Melton Alexander Sr.

Lafayette – Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 25, 2018, at 10 a.m. at Syrie Funeral Home for Melton Alexander Sr., 62, who died August 18, 2018, at St. Martin Hospital.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Mary Margaret Alexander of Arnaudville; two sons, Kendrick Alexander and Melton Alexander Jr. of Arnaudville; three daughters, Shameca (Jerome) Duhon of Breaux Bridge, Shanan Charles of Cecilia and Markisha Alexander of Arnaudville; one brother, Ernest (Sheila) Alexander of Houston, Texaas; six sisters, Jean Daigle of Houston, Texas, Anna Bell (Geno) Alexander of Lafayette, Joann Alexander of Clarksville, Tenn., Joyce Alexander of Lafayette, Alta Marie Alexander of Parks and Doris Alexander of Breaux Bridge; 13 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren with one due in November.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton Alexander and Clorina Alexander; one brother, Alvin Alexander; two sisters, Loubertha Abraham and Lucille Alexander and one grandson, Kayton Alexander.
