Mary Jane ‘Lu-Lun’ Semere

Breaux Bridge – Private Services will be held only for the immediate family of Mary Jane Semere “Lu-Lun,” 79, who departed this life on Tuesday, March 31, 2020.
Mary was born on June 12, 1940, in Arnaudville, La. to the union of the late Elvina and Mitchell Williams Sr. She loved to garden and work with her flowers. Everyone was always amazed to see how many plants she had on her porch. Mary also loved to cook, and she will be remembered for her famous pecan pralines. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Mary will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her sons, Henry Semere (Louella) and Horace Semere (Lisa); daughters, Mary Jeanne Semere, Geraldine Calais, Earline Ben (Jessie), and Leola Wiltz (Michael); daughter-in-law, Elaine Semere; brothers, Elroy Williams (Shelia), Mitchell Williams Jr., Donald Babineaux and Herman Babineaux; sisters, Nola Chevalier (Wilfred), Shirley Grant, and Ethel Boxie; 18 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Semere “Chun”; son, Harold Semere “Fat”; grandchild, Clifton James Calais; father, Mitchell Williams Sr.; mother, Elvina Babineaux; siblings, Beatrice Robicheaux, Judy Chevalier and Leroy Williams; and a host of step-siblings.
