Mary Granger Franks

Breaux Bridge – A Funeral Service was held at 2 p.m. on Monday, January 20, 2020, at Pellerin Funeral Home for Mary Granger Franks, 78, who passed away on Friday, January 17, 2020, at St. Joseph Hospice.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Sunday and continued on Monday from 9 a.m. until 1:45 p.m.
Her grandson, Gavin Faul, officiated at the Funeral Service.
Interment followed at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed spiritual reading and meditating, watching TV, and spending time with the people she loved the most, her family. Mary will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, George R. Franks Jr.; sons, Terry Franks and Jerry Franks Sr. (Nnenna) and Lee Franks (Janet); daughters, Tonia Franks Thibodeaux and Sonia Franks; brothers, Junice Granger Jr., Gene (Sissy) Granger and Olan (Sheryl) Granger; sisters, Hellen Granger Collier (Ronnie), Necia Prosper (Merlin), and Barbara Granger; daughter-in-law, Ann Franks; 24 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Junice and Eunice Copp Granger Sr.; sister, Liz Lancon; son, James “Jimbo” Franks; and her in-laws, George R. and Mary Frances Franks Sr.
Pallbearers were George R. Franks Jr., Terry Franks, Jerry Franks Sr., Gavin Faul, George Franks III and Steven Brasseaux Jr.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.
