Mary Ann T. Brown

Breaux Bridge – A Mass of Christian Burial wase celebrated at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2020, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Mary Ann T. Brown, 84, who passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2020.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Friday and continued on Saturday from 8 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
A rosary given by Tina Landry was prayed at 7 p.m. on Friday.
Rev. Garrett McIntyre officiated at the Funeral Mass. Reader was Rosalina Brown. Gift bearers were Curtis Brown and Jennifer Vermeer.
Interment followed at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville.
Mary Ann was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was a devout Catholic and was a parishioner at St. Bernard Catholic Church. Mary Ann was a member of the Catholic Daughters, Ladies Altar Society, and served as a Eucharistic Minister, both in church and with the home-bound ministry.
She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, sewing, traveling, and most importantly, being with her family. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her sons, Laurent Brown (Hallie), Jesse Brown (Aurelia) and James Brown (Carla); daughter, Verna Hebert (David); grandchildren, Laurent Brown II, Curtis Brown (Chelsea), Jennifer Vermeer (Philip), Rosalina Marie Brown, Kristin Valdez (Richard), Shelby Arnaud (Broc), Stevie Hebert and Kylan Hebert; and her great- grandchildren, Jocelyn Brown, Kayson Brown, Riley Vermeer, Zoey Vermeer, Taelyn Arnaud, Talia Vermeer, McKayla Vermeer and Violet Valdez.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Donald Brown; father, Laurent Terradot; mother, Helen Granger Comb; step father, O’Niel Comb; daughter, Grace Brown; brothers, John Terradot and Laurent “Jay” Terradot; sisters, Verna Terradot and Mary Bodin; and two grandchildren, Jacob Hebert and Amber Hebert.
Pallbearers were Laurent Brown, Jesse Brown, James Brown, Curtis Brown, Rick James Hawley, Richard Valdez, Bernard Terradot, Eugene Broussard and Alton “A.J.” Broussard Jr.
Honorary pallbearers were Verna Hebert, Riley Vermeer, Broc Arnaud, Philip Vermeer and David Hebert.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be sent to St. Bernard Catholic Church.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.
