Mary ‘Deanie’ Thibodeaux

St. Martinville – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2018, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church for Mary “Deanie” Thibodeaux, 69, who passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at Heart Hospital of Lafayette.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 7 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. A rosary was prayed at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Rev. Rusty P. Richard officiated at the Mass of Christian Burial. Scripture was read by Rachael Thibodeaux. Interment followed at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville.
Deanie was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church. She enjoyed quilting and sitting with the elderly. She will be remembered for sweet personality, kindness in eyes and the desire to always help others.
She is survived by her brothers, Harry Thibodeaux and wife Judith of St. Martinville, Terry Thibodeaux of New Mexico, Gene Thibodeaux and wife Tina of St. Martinville, and Donald Thibodeaux and wife Mai of Illinois; her sister, Faye Thibodeaux of St. Martinville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harry Cyprien Thibodeaux, mother, Irene Duplantis Thibodeaux; and brothers, Glenn Thibodeaux, Melvin Thibodeaux and Ray Thibodeaux.
