Margaret Graffeo Capritto

St. Martinville – A Funeral service was held 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, December 3, 2017, at Pellerin Funeral Home for Margaret Graffeo Capritto, 95, who passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2017, at Landmark of Acadiana Nursing Home.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 8 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Sunday.
Fr. Ed Degeyter officiated at the Funeral service. Readers were Jill Douet and Kellie Champagne.​
Interment followed at St. Michael Mausoleum in St. Martinville.
Margaret was born on November 13, 1922 in Franklin, La. She was one of 13 children. On June 1, 1947, she married her husband, Charles Capritto. Margaret was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and being surrounded by the people she loved. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her daughters, Frances (Melvin) Douet and Kathy (Ronny) Theriot; her grandchildren, Sharon (Glenn) Bienvenu, Jessica (Billy) Lejeune, Jimmy (Tammy) Ledbetter, Kellie (Jed) Champagne, and Jill Douet; step grandchildren, Leah (Brent) Blanchard, Brian (Collette) Theriot and Erin (Kyle) Monk; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Bienvenu, Madison Champagne, and Jackson, Cameron and Briane Lejeune; step great-grandchildren, Briggs Blanchard, Tori Boudreaux, Gracie Blanchard, Allie DeCourt, Addison Cormier, Ashtyn Monk, and Thomas, Collin, Tanner and Tucker Theriot; great-great-grandchildren, Presley Blanchard, Gentry and Kipptyn Boudreaux, and Brooks Theriot; and her sisters-in-law, Josephine Capritto and Clara Mae Graffeo.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Capritto; her parents, Vito and Jennie Inzerella Graffeo; brothers, Angelo I, Tony, Sam, Veto, Frank, Joe, Johnny and Angelo II Graffeo; and sisters, Jenny Cacioppo, Lena Carparo, Irene DeFrisco and Frances Graffeo.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Ledbetter, Jed Champagne, Jimmy Bienvenu, Jimmy Capritto and Mike Capritto.
The family would like to give special thanks to all the staff of Landmark of Acadiana Nursing Home and Bridgeway Hospice.
