Breaux Bridge – A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 11, 2018, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Lorraine Frederick Labit, 75, who passed away on Friday, July 27, 2018, in Texas.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday and continue on Saturday at 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. on Friday by Wildie D. Roberts.
Fr. Stephen Pellessier will officiate at the Memorial Mass. Readers will be Justin Sullivan and Cord LeBlanc. Gift Bearers will be Christopher Gonsuron and Leroy and Della Frederick. A solo performance of the song, “Hallelujah,” will be given by Cali LeBlanc.
A reception for family and friends will be held after Mass from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m. at Teche Baptist Church, 3634 Grand Point Hwy., Breaux Bridge.
Interment will follow at Garden Park Cemetery in Conroe, Texas on Thursday, August 16, 2018.
Lorraine was a graduate of Breaux Bridge High School and the University of Louisiana – Lafayette. She was retired from the Iberia Parish School Board, where she worked as a Speech Therapist for 20 years.
Lorraine was a devoted and loving, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband, Joseph Labit; beloved children, Tammy Bergeron Gonsuron and husband Richard, and Christy Bergeron LeBlanc and husband Al, all of Conroe, Texas, Lester “Buddy” Bergeron Jr. of Conroe, Texas, Corey Bergeron and wife Kelly of Leonville, and Jeremy Labit and wife Trisha of Breaux Bridge; brother, Leroy Frederick and wife Della of Cecilia; grandchildren, Nicole Sullivan Dartez, Justin Sullivan, Christopher Gonsuron, Cord LeBlanc, Cali LeBlanc, Cortney Bergeron, Cayden Bergeron, Coby Bergeron, Chase Bergeron and Jeremy Jones; and great-grandchildren, Gavin, Kannon and Boston Dartez, Sandra Gonsuron, Corrine LeBlanc and Alexandria Allen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Laurent and Rose Mary Frederick; and a son, Teddy Joseph Bergeron.
