Lloyd P. Guidry

Parks – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 27, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Lloyd Pierre Guidry, 87, who passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2018, at The Carpenter House St. Joseph Hospice.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Sunday and continued on Monday at 7 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.
A rosary was prayed at 7 p.m. on Sunday
Rev. Ed Degeyter officiated at the Funeral Mass. Gift Bearers were Marsha Williams, Valerie Cummins, Jordan Hebert, Elyse Landry and Madison Larriviere.
Interment followed at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Lloyd, a lifelong resident of Parks, Louisiana, was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where he served as an Usher and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He loved training dogs, working in his garden, fishing and hunting. Lloyd loved his family unconditionally and spending time with them was always very special to him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Dolly Landry Guidry; sons, Dicky Guidry and wife Jeannese LeBlanc Guidry of Breaux Bridge and Eric Guidry and wife Lori Blanchard Guidry of Lafayette; daughters, Donna Roberts and husband George of Brandon, Miss., Joan Marks and husband Jerrold of Arnaudville, and Faye LeBlanc and husband Kenneth of Breaux Bridge; 13 grandchildren, Marsha Williams, Valerie Cummins, Jordan Hebert, Elyse Landry, Madison Larriviere, Paul Derouen, Jacques Guidry, Jesse Guidry, Jon Robert Marks, Jason Marks, Arthur LeBlanc, Christopher LeBlanc, and Parker Guidry; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ozaire and Leontine Doré Guidry; his brothers, Paul Guidry and Pascal Guidry; sisters-in-law, Edolie Guidry and Emilie Guidry; sister, Genevieve Guidry Boudreaux; brother-in-law, Dalton Boudreaux; and two grandchildren, Stephanie Roberts and Jerrod Anthony Guidry.
Pallbearers were Paul Derouen, Jesse Guidry, Jacques Guidry, Jon Robert Marks, Jason Marks, Arthur LeBlanc, Christopher LeBlanc and Parker Guidry.
Honorary pallbearers were Wayne Gilbert, Murphy Guidry, George Roberts, Jerrold Marks and Kenneth LeBlanc.
