Laura Bordelon Borel

Catahoula – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at St. Rita Catholic Church for Laura Bordelon Borel, 83, who passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2017.
Visiting hours were observed at Dion Hall from 1:30 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Friday and continued on Saturday at 7 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
A rosary was prayed at 7 p.m. on Friday.
Rev. Richard Fabre officiated at the Funeral Mass. Interment followed at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in Catahoula.
Laura was born September 25, 1934, to the late Kernis and Felecie Olivier Bordelon. She enjoyed reading, cooking, and spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her sons, Terrell and wife Glenda Patin Borel, Marty and wife Angela Romero Borel, and Blair and wife Jessica Theriot Borel; her grandchildren, Tandy Borel, Tega Borel, Emery Doucet and Jensie Borel; and her great-grandchildren, Tailey Begnaud, Evie Miller, Colton Miller, Kinsley Doucet, Kole Landry, Tristan Guilbeau and Caleb Guilbeau.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Borel; and her parents.
Pallbearers were Seth Landry, Tim Guilbeau, Timmy Patin and Dusty Doucet.
The family would like to give special thanks to Jessie Ransonet and Melissa Celestine for the amazing care and time given to Laura.
