Breaux Bridge – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Henry Bennett Delcambre, 72, who passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2019, at his residence.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Tuesday and continue on Wednesday at 7 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. on Tuesday by Brittany Broussard and a eulogy will be given by Mary Ann Theriot.
Rev. Garrett McIntyre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Sandy Trosclair and Kim Landry. Gift Bearers will be his grandchildren.
Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Henry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was a hard worker that wanted to provide a good life for his family.
He enjoyed fishing, listening to his music, gardening, growing his trees, and giving advice, even if you didn’t like it. Henry loved building things. He would spend hours in his man cave listening to his music and enjoying his surroundings.
Henry will be remembered for the love he had for his family, his wonderful smile, his generous heart and these words, “Just another day in paradise.”
He is survived by his loving spouse, Patsy Landry Delcambre; son, Kenneth Delcambre of Breaux Bridge; daughter, Angela Delcambre of Breaux Bridge; grandchildren, Kara Woolard and her husband Alex, Matthew Delcambre and Emily Delcambre; sisters, Reneé Sandifer and husband Joe of Franklin, Jeannie Viator and husband Carl of New Iberia, Celeste Lohr and husband William of New Iberia, and Nanette Kimble of Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ludovic and Agnes Larcade Delcambre.
Pallbearers will be Steve Fuselier Jr., Alex Woolard, Matthew Delcambre, Gary Landry, Beau Trosclair and Blake Broussard.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth Landry and Richard Segura.
