Felton ‘Mean Machine’ Johnson Sr.

Breaux Bridge – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church for Felton “Mean Machine” Johnson Sr., 62, who passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2017.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. on Saturday.
A rosary will be prayed at 8 a.m. on Saturday.
Rev. Joseph Campion will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Felton, better known as “Mean Machine,” was born on April 18, 1955, to the late Cornelius Johnson and Thelma (Clopha) Derousselle. He was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his mother, Thelma Derouselle; children, Satonia Sam and spouse Marcus, Thelma George and spouse Joseph, Felton Johnson Jr. and spouse Leslie, all of Lafayette, Chelsea Batiste of Lake Charles, Tyrus Demouchet and spouse Deneshia of Houston, and Devante Benjamin of Breaux Bridge; siblings, Prenella Weatherall and spouse John of Lafayette, Albert Johnson and spouse Nancy, Toby Johnson, Michael Johnson, Tracey Landry and spouse Mike, and Dianna Christian and spouse Ricky, all of Breaux Bridge; 12 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Cornelius Johnson; maternal grandparents, Joseph Williams and Louisiana Batiste; paternal grandparents, Theresa Clement and Alfred Johnson; aunts, Mildred Noel, Cora Mae Johnson and Malba Thibodeaux; uncles, Dalton Williams and Joseph Johnson; and his longtime companion, Mary Kay Demouchet.
