Donna Dauphine Talley

St. Martinville – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for Donna Dauphine Talley, 54, at 10 a.m. Friday, January 12, 2018, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church with Rev. Rusty P. Richard officiating. Interment will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery.
Visitation took place on Thursday from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. with the rosary at 7 p.m.. The funeral home reopened on Friday at 8 a.m. until service time.
A native and resident of St. Martinville, Donna passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at her daughter’s residence.
Donna, known as Nanny to all of her nieces and nephews and Nana to her grandchildren, will be missed dearly by all of her family and friends.
She was employed for many years by Martin Mills and Wal Mart. She enjoyed music, playing cards and loved Pokeno.
She is survived by her daughter, Teri Lynn Talley and her companion William Lavergne of St. Martinville; three grandchildren, Cailyn Latiolais, Tahj Talley and Collin Lavergne; her father, Paul Dauphine of Parks; two sisters, Paulette D. Buford and husband David of Catahoula and Tina D. Laviolette and husband Carroll of Parks; and three brothers, Morris “Yogi” Dauphine and wife Kerry, Kenny Dauphine and wife Kimberly, and Tony Dauphine, all of Parks.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Eula Mae “Catan” Blanchard Dauphine; and one brother, Dennis Dauphine.
Pallbearers were Tahj Talley, Will Lavergne, Morris “Yogi” Dauphine, Cal Laviolette, Mike Morvant, Kody Landry, David Buford and T-Mitch Patin.
Collin Lavergne, Kenny Dauphine and Kyle Dauphine served as honorary pallbearers.
Memorial donations may be made in her name to Bridgeway Hospice, 2014 West Pinhook Road, Lafayette, LA 70508.
