Dianne L. Menard

St. Martinville – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2018, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church for Dianne L. Menard, 67, who passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2018.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday and continued on Saturday at 7 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.
A rosary was prayed at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
Rev. Rusty P. Richard officiated at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures were read by Ava Harris. Gift Bearers were Halie Barras, Bryce Melancon and Liam Melancon.
Interment followed at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville.
Dianne enjoyed playing Bingo, having a good time at Robert’s Lounge, and going on cruises with her lady friends. She was a devout Catholic and prayed the rosary every day. Her family was most important to her and she loved spending all of her time with them making memories. Dianne especially liked to aggravate her older sister, JoeAnn, when she chewed her ice loudly. She lived life to the fullest and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her sons, Stacy Menard and fiancée Lorie Foster, and Jack Menard; sisters, JoeAnne L. Amy and husband Rufus, and Linda Faye Hulin and husband Hubert Jr.; grandchildren, Halie Barras, Mackenzey Vienne, Jake Menard, Sadie Menard, Keith Menard, and Jonathan Foster; great- grandson, Liam Melancon; godchildren, Troy Deslatte, Adam Berard, Tracey Hambrick and Ashley Hulin; special dog, Buddy; and a host of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edmond and Inez Johnson Laperouse; grandchild, Bryan Foster; brothers, James Laperouse, Patrick Laperouse, and Roy Laperouse; sisters, Hazel Belaire, Irene St. Germain, Earline Choplin, Amynthe Laperouse, Mazel Derouen, Mable Monte and Suzanne Deslatte; and her husband, Darrel Menard.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Lafayette General Medical Center, day and night nurses of the 6th floor, Grace Hospice, Cardiovascular Institute South, and to her special “Team Queen” for all the care and love given to Dianne in her time of need.
Pallbearers were Jonathan Foster, Timothy Amy, Troy Deslatte, Mark Monte, Adam Berard and Hubert Hulin Jr.
Honorary pallbearers were Mindy Prados and Stephanie Belaire.
Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville was in charge of arrangements.
