Breaux Bridge – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Dale James Patin, 59, who passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2018, at Ochsner Medical Center.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Tuesday and continue on Wednesday at 7 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
Rev. Garrett McIntyre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Halli and Karli Cormier. Gift Bearers will be Ainsley and Aubrey Patin.
Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Henderson.
Dale was dedicated to his work with over 33 years of service working for Frank’s International, but most importantly cherished his time off spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting and fishing, but his real pastime was playing golf whenever he had an opportunity. Dale was a member of the Cajun Golf Association, Scott Golf Association, and the Acadiana Golf Society. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need and will be truly missed by all who loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis Brasseaux Patin of Breaux Bridge; son, Jude Patin and wife Ashley of Breaux Bridge; grandchildren, Ainsley Patin, Aubrey Patin, Grayson Patin, and Graham Patin, all of Breaux Bridge; brothers, Lawrence Patin and wife Judith, and Robert Patin and wife Nancy, all of Breaux Bridge; and sisters, Laura Simoneaux and husband Wade of Catahoula, Judy Breaux and husband Johnny, Melissa Degeyter and husband Scott, and Suzie Breaux and husband Freddie, all of Breaux Bridge.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ovey and Mary Latiolais Patin; in-laws, Morris and Gladys Brasseaux; paternal grandparents, Robert and Baptistine Patin; and maternal grandparents, Abbe and Alice Latiolais.
Pallbearers will be Lawrence Patin, Robert Patin, Scott Degeyter, Wade “T-Wed” Simoneaux, Donald “T-Don” Leblanc, Randy Patin, Floyd Duplantis, Rocky Patin, Christopher Breaux, Nathan Patin and Wade Pip Simoneaux.
Following services, a reception will take place at La Poussiere, 1301 Grand Point Ave. Breaux Bridge, LA 70517 where all are invited to attend.
