Cynthia Marie Sampy

St. Martinville – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2019, at Notre Dame Catholic Church for Cynthia Marie Sampy, 45, who passed away on Monday, November 11, 2019, at Lafayette General Medical Center.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Notre Dame Catholic Church from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. on Saturday.
A rosary will be prayed at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Interment will follow at Evangeline Memorial Gardens in Carencro.
She is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, Steven Rayland Sampy Jr.; daughters, Quintella Chantel Leon of New Iberia, Quaninsha La’Shay Leon of Lafayette, and Tyranica Naté Cormier of Dallas, Texas; son, Quaderrious Ra’Shan Sampy of Lafayette; grandchildren, TyAsia Leon, Brilun (Doodle Bug) Jones, Mardriquel (MJ) Waters and Braylen (BJ) Waters; sisters, Stephanie Marie Flugence and husband Christopher of St. Martinville, Shaneka Morrison and husband Nicholas of Lafayette, Franchesska Bonhomme, Sha-Tisha Bonhomme, and Jatasha Iglus and husband Daniel, all of Breaux Bridge; brothers, Daniel Marshall of St. Martinville, David Bonhomme Jr., Keaton Bonhomme and Tyrus Bonhomme, all of Breaux Bridge; sister-in-law, Carol Thomas and spouse Rick of Carencro; brother-in-law, Alton Davis and spouse Michelle of Lafayette; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Joyce Bonhomme; sisters, La’Tasha and Quintella Leon; brother, Joshua Leon; maternal grandmother, Beatrice Leon; paternal grandparents, Howard and Lovenia Joseph Bonhomme Sr.; and her best friend, Kenisha Antoine.
