Barbara Mason Jones

St. Martinville – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Barbara Mason Jones, 80, at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 2, 2018, at Notre Dame Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Sucharski officiating.
Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Friday at Evangeline Funeral Home in St. Martinville from 7 a.m. until the time of service. A rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m.
Mrs. Jones was a lifelong native and resident of St. Martinville until the time of her passing at her residence on Thursday, October 25, 2018.
Mrs. Jones was a faithful member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Coteau Holmes. She enjoyed cooking and delivering food to visiting priest from India. Her hobbies were fostering to 64 children over the past 20 years, cooking, gardening, and working around the house. Most of all, she enjoyed being surrounded by family members; especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Roland Jones Jr. (Nancy), Roylin Jones Landry (Reasley) and Harris Jones, all of St. Martinville, Robbie Lynn Jones (CeDarius) of Houston, Brian Jones of Lafayette, and Monique Jones and her significant other, Rodney Tripeaux of Youngsville; four sisters, Mable Narcisse, Julia Bonhomme and Mary Eunice Hopkins, all of Houston, and Elouise Lindsey (Carl) of Victorville, Cal.; one brother, Robert Mason Jr. of St. Martinville; one brother-in-law, Felton Lee of Houston; nine grandchildren, Rolanda, Rollins, Ridge, Remi, Noel, Camryn, Amyree, Rodney Jr. and Camryn Josie; seven great-grandchildren, Braylon, Naisiah, Dennis Jr., Rinajah, Jaydon, Raven and Rylee; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Allen “Badee” Jones; two sons, Kevin Randall Jones and Mortimer Jones; parents, Robert Sr. and Eunice Lewis Mason; and two sisters, Nancy Lee and Rena Mason.
Pallbearers will be Ridge Babineaux, Rolanda Benoit, Rollins Jones, Remi Dempsey, Monique Jones, and Cedric Mason.
Honorary pallbearers will be Roland Jones Sr., Harris Jones, CeDarius Jones, Rodney Tripeaux, Felton Lee Jr., Mitchell Mason, Carla Rogers, Eunice Hopkins and Rachael Mason.
